JOYFUL NOIZ – Positive Reggae Vibrations at POSK

Saturday 9th of March 2013 @ 7pm

Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK) is pleased to invite you to a JOYFUL NOIZ night.
JOYFUL NOIZ is a Dublin-based reggae band known for gigs in some great venues around Dublin. Among others, the band played at the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) in Dublin and at Whelan’s Pub in previous years.

JOYFUL NOIZ was formed in 2007, inspired by Gentleman and his Journey To Jah tour with the Far East Band (‘Please make a Joyful Noise!’). The name, with a slight change in spelling, reflects the style of the band well, and all those interested in reggae music can read it backwards and will need no further comment.
However, for those getting interested in reggae, the style comes from 1960s Jamaica, with strong African influences mixed with American jazz, traditional rhythm & blues, and such styles as ska, rocksteady, funk and dubstep as well.

Positive reggae vibes have always been predominant in JOYFUL NOIZ, even though the band has been through many personal changes and experiments in music genres. The motto inspiring the band can be a simple sentence “Live your life so that it’s alright”.

Currently JOYFUL NOIZ is:
Piotr Sznyter – vocals
Mariusz Dujka – sampler, percussion
Ricardo Bicho – guitar
Tomasz Grześko – bass
Robert Broll – drums
